Historical Gardens of the Hudson River Valley
Tour begins at the Crawford House 189 Montgomery St., Newburgh
Join Master Gardener Lily Norton and gardening enthusiast Cathy Cahill, on a guided tour of five beautiful gardens in the Hudson Valley, including a private Newburgh garden which was featured in the 1915 book Beautiful Gardens in America, FDR's Rose Garden, Bellefield and Vassar's Shakespeare and Bog Gardens. Starting at the Crawford House and traveling caravan style, the tour will take approximately 3 hours. Enjoy the roses, acanthus, iris, cleome, peonies, foxglove, salvia,allium, woodland ferns and many more spectacular summer bloomers with the expert insights of your guides.
The tour will leave the Crawford House at 1:05pm.
Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring your hat, sunglasses, bug spray, water and sunblock.
